Muslims around the country celebrate Prophet Muhammad’s birthday today.  It is one of the important events in the Muslim calendar around the world.

Today our Muslim Brothers and Sisters remember the love and care shared by Prophet Mohammed and it is also a time of reflection to commemorate his life as founder of Islam.

Muslims believe that Islam is a faith that has always existed and that it was gradually revealed to humanity by a number of prophets, but the final and complete revelation of the faith was made through the Prophet Muhammad in the 7th century Common Era (CE).

Muhammad was born approximately 570 CE in Mecca.
